What is the difference between a Supplement Facts panel and a Nutrition Facts panel?
A Supplement Facts panel is required for dietary supplements and lists ingredients like vitamins, minerals, herbs, and botanicals with their amounts and Daily Values. A Nutrition Facts panel is required for conventional foods and lists macronutrients (calories, fat, carbs, protein).
Key differences include: Supplement Facts lists the part of the plant (e.g., "root" or "fruiting body"), does not include "0 g" values for nutrients not present, and uses a different set of required Daily Values. The formatting rules also differ — Supplement Facts uses a specific column layout with "Other Ingredients" listed separately below the panel.
ReguSift generates Supplement Facts panels specifically, with built-in formatting for botanical names, proprietary blends, and dual-column layouts.
